GPS, clock, Settings notes, go-home time, and the trip setup you applied hit the server with the street feeds. Your controls come first: the radius, direction, target city and empty-mile cap filter the board before anything is scored. Changing a knob does nothing until you tap Apply trip setup or Refresh plan on Drive, or Rebuild with these on Plan. A cost model then prices every remaining pin on empty miles, fuel, time, leftover-shift net vs sitting, live traffic, tract density, and real event start times. Thin tracts get hunted out of, not sat in. That shortlist is ranked advice. The model still writes every dest, wait, and wrap. On Drive the live cards only regenerate when you start a shift, apply trip setup, refresh the plan, or start from Best start — not on every GPS tick, and not from the day plan grid. Plan and Best start own the full-shift window. If a feed is missing, the prompt says so instead of inventing a fake surge multiplier. Uber and Lyft never publish a live surge number to third parties, so SURGEDRIVER never fakes a 2.4x.
FBI crime stats
FBI Crime Data Explorer UCR rates, violent and property per 100k for the state and city the Census geocoder names. Used on the full-shift day plan so waits land in well-lit, busy public lots, not a high-crime dead pocket sold as surge. Drive skips the yearly crime pull so live cards stay fast. If the feed is missing, the model says so. It never invents a crime number.
City and tract density
US Census ACS tract population and people per square mile. Drive uses the tract at your GPS. The day plan also samples density at the top dests. Dense grids favor wait-plus-short-trip. Sparse tracts need a reason to sit.
Household income
ACS median household income and home value for the tract. Affluent edges often mean airport, hotel, and dinner trips. The model uses that with density, not as a stereotype of a whole city.
Airport landing banks
OpenSky counts aircraft descending near catalog airports inside your radius. Arrivals beat departures. If the feed is quiet or blocked, the cards say so. SURGEDRIVER never invents a landing bank.
Live events in cities
Ticketmaster concerts and sports inside your Settings radius, with venue, city, and real start times. Waits aim before doors and after let-out. Far venues never reach the prompt. Drive looks up events near you. The day plan can cover a wider disk with extra venue rings.
Cities inside your radius
A GeoNames worldwide city catalog filtered by live GPS and the miles you set in Settings (up to 500), then narrowed by the trip setup you apply on Drive or Plan: a direction of travel, a city to head toward, a cap on empty miles per hop. SURGEDRIVER hunts airports, events, and denser cities inside what is left. Sitting in a thin suburb hoping for a trip is not the plan.
Live traffic flow
TomTom speed vs free-flow on the street you are on. A jammed road makes a long empty expensive, so the model would rather wait or take a shorter hop. Incident details (closures, crashes) show on Drive when the TomTom key is set. The day plan also samples traffic at dest areas.
Open-Meteo weather
Rain, cloud, and temperature at your GPS. Wet streets change wait vs empty-drive math. When rain flips on, Drive can rewrite the live cards.
Street wait lots
Real public pins from nearby search: cafes, fuel, grocery, hotels, malls, restaurants. Home businesses and private event houses are dropped so Maps does not drop you on a driveway.
Not a heat map. A live path through go-home. Apps on until it is time to head home.

Hunt radius
Override your Settings radius for right now. Fifteen miles on a slow Tuesday, three hundred when you are willing to travel.
Direction of travel
North, east, south, or west. The next plan has to leave this neighborhood that way. Waiting out the whole path in the town you are already in does not count. Hops over eight miles stay in that quadrant.
Head toward a city
Name where you want to end up working. Dests in that city, or on the way to it, get picked first. If nothing there pays this window, the plan says so.
What to hunt
Airports, events, nightlife, downtown, or stay local. Prioritises that kind of market and leaves it only when nothing in it pays.
Pace
Chill keeps repositions short and steady. Grind accepts a long empty drive for a better market. Balanced is the default.
Max empty miles
A hard cap per hop. No plan will ever send you farther than that on one empty drive, whatever the market looks like.
Trip floor
Tell it you decline trips under a dollar amount and it picks dests where the typical fare clears it.
Break and wrap
Reserve a break in the softest demand hour. End the day near home keeps the last blocks on your side of town. Turn it off if you want to chase money to the last minute.
Avoid tolls
Skip toll roads and toll bridges when picking dests and the Maps route. Same rule as the rest of trip setup: nothing applies until Replan or Rebuild.
